Terms of service

These terms govern the use of this website, its forms, free tools and published content. Legal work itself is governed by a signed letter of engagement, not by this page.

Last updated: 25 August 2026

Scope and acceptance

These terms govern the use of lawyerd.net — its pages, intake forms, free tools and published content — and the applications we operate on third-party platforms. By using the site you accept these terms. If you engage us for legal work, the signed engagement terms prevail over this page wherever they differ.

No attorney–client relationship by browsing

Content on this site — including guides, the newsroom and tool outputs — is general information, not legal advice, and reading it creates no attorney–client relationship. Submitting an intake form does not by itself create one either: engagements begin only after a conflict check, confidential intake and written confirmation by counsel. Until then, do not send us information you consider privileged.

Engagements

Services are provided under individual engagement terms agreed in writing. We act for rights holders and their authorised representatives; filings are made under named statute and reviewed by counsel before submission. We do not guarantee outcomes, and we do not accept matters that would require misrepresenting rights ownership or filing reports the client is not entitled to make.

Free tools

The Evidence Snapshot tool and the abuse-contact lookup are provided free, as-is, for legitimate brand-protection use. They are technical utilities, not legal advice, and their output does not by itself guarantee any legal result. You must submit your own working email address, and only URLs of publicly accessible pages you have a legitimate reason to preserve or investigate. We apply rate limits and may refuse, throttle or discontinue requests or the tools themselves at any time.

Acceptable use

You agree not to submit knowingly false information through our forms; not to attempt unauthorised access to the site, its APIs or connected services; not to scrape, overload or interfere with the site or its tools; and not to use our tools, channels or name to file reports you are not entitled to make or to harass any person or business.

Intellectual property

Site content, wordmark and design are the property of Lawyerd or its licensors. Quotation with attribution and a link is welcome; wholesale reproduction requires written permission.

Third-party platforms and links

Where we operate applications on third-party platforms (including Meta), our use of those platforms is additionally governed by the platforms' own terms, and the platforms decide the outcome of any report filed through them. Links from this site to external resources — hosts, registrars, abuse forms, published articles — are provided for reference and are not endorsements; we are not responsible for external content.

Disclaimers and liability

The site and its free tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for damages arising from reliance on published information, from tool output, or from interruption or discontinuation of the site or tools. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here overrides the terms of a signed engagement.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; material changes are published on this page with an updated date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
