Data deletion instructions

1. Email dmca@lawyerd.net with the subject line "Data deletion request".
2. Send it from the address whose data you want removed, or name that address in the message. No account or login exists on this site, so the email address is the identifier we act on.
3. Optionally, say which data you mean (a form submission, the newsletter, an Evidence Snapshot request, a platform app). If you don't, we delete everything linked to the address.

Nothing else is required — no form, no proof of identity beyond control of the address, no reason.

• Intake and contact-form submissions, and related correspondence;
• records created by our free tools — Evidence Snapshot requests and abuse-contact lookup leads — stored in our own infrastructure;
• newsletter subscription data (the one-click unsubscribe link in any issue works too, instantly and without emailing us);
• data processed through our platform applications, including Meta apps — see § 03;
• copies held by our service providers (hosting, newsletter, email delivery), which we instruct to delete as part of the same request.

The only exceptions are records we are legally or professionally required to retain — for example, legal notices already filed with a platform or host. Where an exception applies, we tell you exactly what is retained and on what legal basis.

Our platform applications exist to file intellectual-property reports on behalf of rights holders; they process reporter identity, rights documentation and references to reported content — not general platform user data. If any of your data was processed through one of these applications, the same single-email procedure in § 01 applies: write to dmca@lawyerd.net, mention the platform, and we will delete the data our application holds about you, except filed legal notices that must be retained as records. Deletion inside the platform itself (for example, content or account data held by Meta) is governed by that platform's own tools and policies.

We acknowledge requests within one business day and complete deletion within 30 days, confirming by reply when it is done. If statutory or professional-records obligations require keeping specific records, the confirmation states what is retained, why, and for how long.
